The Members of the Board of Education

Patty Nashelsky, President    Email Term Expires: 2018

Patty is returning as Board President for the 2017-18 school year.  She is currently the Board Representative to the BOCES Board, the Representative to and Director on the Westchester-Putnam School Board Association, and the Legislative Contact to the Westchester-Putnam School Board Legislative Committee.

Patty graduated from Siena College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science and Hofstra University School of Law.  She was a practicing attorney for 10 years before deciding to stay home to raise her four sons, who are currently in 7th and 10th grades at Rye Neck and two of whom have graduated Rye Neck and gone on to college.

Deborah Aulfinger, Vice President    Email

Deborah Aulfinger has served on the Board of Education since May 2011 and is a familiar face in all four schools, showing her dedication to the district and its students by attending not only BOE and PTSA meetings and planning sessions, but school events.  Through more than a decade of service to the district -- on the board, the PTSA and with local organizations, Deborah has developed a deep understanding of her community's needs and an unwavering commitment to smart financial planning that benefits Rye Neck's schools and its hard-working families.

Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Deborah has called Rye Neck home for the past 24 years with her husband Erich, a Rye Neck graduate. They have two daughters attending Rye Neck, Sara, 17, and Ella, 10.

Deborah has served as a board representative for the Committee on Special Education since 2011, as well as the Safety Group and Policy Committee, and as a Board Liaison to the PTSA.  This year, Deborah will act as board representative to the Facilities Advisory Committee.

Deborah has been an active school volunteer, a member of the PTSA since 2005.  She has served as head class mother, co-chair for Daniel Warren After School Clubs, 2006-2010, chaired the Annual Spring Fair, and, in 2009-2011 served on the PTSA Executive Committee as VP of fundraising.

Deborah is continually focused on making decisions that are financially smart, with an eye on long-term outcomes.  She believes it is this type of planning, long-term thinking and knowledge that will help the Rye Neck community as we face potentially difficult budgets and bonds in the future.


Allen Hodys, Trustee    Email

Term Expires: 2018

Al Hodys was re-elected to the Rye Neck Board of Education in 2015 and has served on the Board since 2009.  Mr. Hodys is looking forward to continuing his service on the Board with great enthusiasm.

He has served as a member of the Board’s Audit Committee for the past eight years, and he has chaired that committee for the past seven years. He has served as the Board representative to the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association and to the RNSD Safety Committee, and he is actively engaged with the Board’s Policy Group.

In his professional life away from the Board, Mr. Hodys is General Counsel for NES Associates, LLC,  a subsidiary of CSRA, Inc., a defense contractor in Northern Virginia.  Prior to his work as a defense contractor, Mr. Hodys was a practicing attorney in New York City.

He and his wife Debbie have two children, Cole and Julia, who attend Rye Neck High School.


Dan Wice, Trustee    Email

Term Expires:  2019

Dan Wice has been a resident in the Rye Neck School District for over 25 years after growing up in Bloomfield, CT.  His wife Stephanie is a Rye Neck graduate, and their children, Olivia, now a Sophomore at University of Delaware, and Sophia and Timothy are current students of the school system.

Dan graduated from Clark University with a degree in economics and has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years.  Currently he is a Financial Advisor focusing on helping people with their Life, Estate and Retirement Planning strategies.  

Dan has just finished his first year on the board and is looking forward to his continued service as a board member and continuing his involvement in the Rye Neck school system.  This year, Dan will act as legislative contact to the Westchester-Putnam School Board Legislative Committee and Board Representative to the Audit Committee.


Pietro Fasolino, Trustee    Email
Term Expires: 2019

Pietro Fasolino has lived in the Rye Neck School District for 29 years and is a Rye Neck graduate, Class of 1995.  Pietro graduated Flagler College with a BA in communications and minors in History and Political Science. Pietro is the owner of AEF Sales, a representative, engineering and design firm, serving New York City and New England.  

Pietro and his wife Cindy, also a Rye Neck graduate, Class of 1994, have three children attending Rye Neck, one on each campus.  The children are the fourth generation of the family to attend Rye Neck. 

Pietro served on the Committee for Special Education and will be the Co-Board Representative to the District Safety Team and Co-Board Representative to the Facilities Advisory Committee, working to ensure our children will thrive in a safe and modern educational environment.

Jennifer Rubin    Email Term Expires: 2020

A life-long resident of Westchester, Jennifer has been living in Rye Neck for over 19 years.  She attended New York University where she received her Master's Degree in Biology/Neuroscience.  For the past 13 years, Jennifer has enjoyed teaching at the Early Childhood Center in Rye.  She and her husband, Jeff, have three children who attend the Rye Neck schools.

Jennifer has been actively involved in Rye Neck since 2005, where she first volunteered as Head Class Parent in her daughter's kindergarten classroom. She is a dedicated member of the PTSA previously serving on the Budget Committee and holding positions on the Executive Committee as the Vice President of Bellows, the Vice President of the Middle School and Corresponding Secretary. Additionally, Jennifer has served on the High School Principal's Advisory Committee and the District's Programs and Priorities Committee lending a voice to discussions on the school budget and valued programs.

Jennifer looks forward to serving as a trustee on the Rye Neck School Board continuing her devotion to our community.  This year, she will act as Board Representative to Special Services and Board Representative to the Westchester-Putnam School Board Association.
